  1. Minor Area Option

Each Master's candidate may include a minor area in the degree program. To accomplish a minor the student must take 2 courses (6 hours) in some area outside of their major, such as Math, Physics, Computer Science, or Industrial Engineering, as approved by their advisory committee. If a minor is declared, this area must be represeted on the student's Advisory Committee.

  2. Restrictions on Use of ECE 892

A maximum of 3 hours of ECE 892 Special Problems in Electrical and Computer Engineering may be included on any Master's candidate's GS-2 form. In addition, a student must obtain advance approval of his/her advisory committee before taking this course if it is to be used on the GS-2 form.
