Clemson IEEE

IEEE stands for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. IEEE (pronounced "eye-triple ee") is a global technical professional society serving the public interest and members in electrical, electronics, computer, information and other technologies.

Here are several benefits of being an IEEE student member:

  • Membership access to the 35 IEEE technical societies, their publications, and services at discounted student member rates.
  • Opportunities to attend and participate in technical conferences.
  • Scholarships, fellowships, and other awards available to IEEE student members based on merit, IEEE involvement, and need.
  • Access to the world's most comprehensive source of electrical and electronics publications, specialized books, conference records, and published standards.
  • Participation in local Student Branch Activities (i.e., having fun).
For a membership application, contact Dr. John Komo, campus IEEE advisor.
