Information for Prospective Undergraduate Students
We’re glad you’re considering joining us at the Holcombe
Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering! We hope this web site provides you
with some helpful information as you consider the fields of electrical
and computer engineering and how our department provides an excellent
education and many opportunities for students.
As an undergraduate in our department, you may pursue an accredited
Bachelor of Science degree in either Electrical
Engineering or Computer Engineering.
Both degrees may be obtained in four years. We do support the cooperative
education (co-op) program which allows students the opportunity to gain experience in the working
world, and may extend their time as an undergraduate to five years.
The Electrical and Computer Engineering programs at Clemson provides students with the skills
necessary to succeed in today’s fast-paced environment. Graduates from the department testify
to the high level of education they received at Clemson and their preparedness for everything
they faced after graduation. Undergraduate students also feel that they benefit from excellent
teaching in small classes and are privilege to the many opportunities offered by the Clemson
ECE department
Prospective students often have
many questions about what engineers in their field might do upon graduation, what type of salary
they can expect, what they might face in their major during college, what some of the larger
things happening in their field are at the moment, and many other similar questions. We hope
that the additional links below (coming soon) are helpful in answering some of your questions. If you have
any questions, please feel free to
contact anyone in our department.
